IT staff augmentation with most of your working day covered. Vetted engineers with five or more years of experience, a shortlist typically in 72 hours and month-to-month terms.
Hiring from India is straightforward for UK and European teams, but a few things are worth getting right at the start: working hours, VAT, IR35 and data protection. This page covers each in plain English.
Of all the markets we work with, the UK and Europe have the easiest time-zone fit. An engineer in India can be in your morning standup, pair with your team over lunch and still finish their day before your evening. That makes augmentation work here much like hiring a remote colleague in another UK city.
Everyone we put forward has at least five years of hands-on experience, joins your tools and your rituals, and is interviewed by you before they start.
India is 4.5 hours ahead of the UK in summer and 5.5 hours in winter. Against Central European Time the gap is 3.5 hours in summer and 4.5 in winter.
A typical arrangement has the engineer working late morning to evening Indian time. For UK teams that covers roughly 9am to 3:30pm, and for teams in Germany, the Netherlands or the Nordics it covers most of the day. Five to seven hours of live overlap is normal, which is enough for standups, reviews and pairing without anyone working unsocial hours.
UK buyers often ask about IR35 first. The off-payroll rules are aimed at people working through their own personal service company who would otherwise be treated as employees. Engineers who live and work in India and are engaged through an Indian company generally sit outside that picture, and there is no UK payroll or status determination for you to run.
Every setup is different, though, so confirm the position for your business with your accountant. If you are a small company under the thresholds that apply from April 2026, the rules work differently again.
In the rest of Europe the same logic applies. The engineer has no employment relationship with your company, so there is no local payroll, social insurance or employment contract on your side.
We invoice monthly for the hours worked. For business-to-business services bought from outside the country, UK and EU businesses usually account for VAT themselves under the reverse charge, so the invoice is paid without VAT added and your finance team records it on your return. Your accountant will know how this applies to your business.
Terms are month to month, with no lock-in and no exit penalty.

Tell Us the RoleIndia doesn’t have an EU adequacy decision. If an engineer in India will access personal data of people in the EU, the transfer needs a recognised safeguard, usually the EU Standard Contractual Clauses backed by a transfer impact assessment. For UK personal data the equivalent is the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU clauses.
We’re happy to sign a data processing agreement with the right clauses for your situation. In practice, the simplest protection is often to give engineers masked or test data so that personal data never leaves your environment at all.
India’s own Digital Personal Data Protection Act is being phased in, with its rules notified in November 2025 and the main obligations taking effect by May 2027. Our security and compliance page explains what we hold and what we don’t.
